Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

This is the organisation’s first carbon assessment aligned with PPN 06/21 and the GHG Protocol. The baseline year has been established using the earliest period with sufficiently reliable data across Scope 1, Scope 2, and relevant Scope 3 emissions.
Historically, reporting was limited to direct fuel and electricity consumption, with no full Scope 3 assessment in place. The current baseline therefore includes additional Scope 3 categories to improve alignment with government guidance and reporting best practice.
Where primary data was unavailable, recognised emissions factors and reasonable estimation methods were used. The organisation will continue improving data quality and reporting coverage in future years, which may result in reporting variances as methodologies develop.
No significant organisational changes or restructuring occurred during the baseline year that required recalculation of emissions data. |

Emissions reduction targets
As this is the organisation’s first formal carbon assessment and reporting period, no previous emissions reduction targets or commitments have been established.
The organisation is committed to developing a structured carbon reduction plan and will use this baseline assessment to identify emission hotspots, improve data collection processes, and set measurable future reduction targets aligned with operational capabilities and relevant government guidance.
The organisation intends to implement a number of measures to reduce carbon emissions over time, including:
• Reducing energy consumption through improved operational efficiency and responsible energy management.
• Increasing the use of remote and hybrid working practices to reduce business travel emissions.
• Reviewing procurement practices to prioritise suppliers and services with lower environmental impact.

We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 105.38 tCO2e by 2031. This is a reduction of 10%. Future progress against these targets will be presented in a graph to illustrate progress.
Carbon Reduction Projects
Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
Although our baseline assessment has only just been completed, we have been carrying out various initiatives throughout the previous year to reduce carbon emissions. The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented in the previous year.
• Moving to a new office premises (May 2025) that is more modern and more energy Public transport options are also better which can aid in reducing commuting carbon usage.
• Improving energy efficiency through reduced electricity consumption and responsible equipment usage. Our new office, for example, has lighting that are on sensors so only come on when people are in the building.
• Permitting some remote and hybrid working to reduce commuting and business travel emissions.
• Using virtual online meetings where practical to minimise travel
Future carbon reduction initiatives
In the future we hope to explore and implement further measures such as:
• Become ISO certified to 14001, with a UKAS accredited
• Reducing waste generation and increasing recycling – investigate with our office management company what happens with our company
• Promoting employee awareness and engagement in sustainable working practices.
• Improving emissions monitoring and data collection to support ongoing carbon reduction planning.
• Exploring opportunities with office management company to use renewable electricity tariffs and lower-carbon technologies where operationally feasible.
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 006 and associated guidance and reporting standards for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG.
Reporting Protocol corporate standard3 and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting4.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard5.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
