The War Memorial Garden at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus is a poignant tribute to the servicemen who departed from RAF Harwell during World War II, particularly those involved in the D-Day landings. This memorial garden seamlessly integrates historical remembrance with contemporary design, serving as a space for reflection and education.

Unveiled on the eve of the 81st anniversary of D-Day in June 2025, the Horsa Sculpture stands as the focal point of the War Memorial Garden. The design echoes the fuselage of the Airspeed Horsa glider, capturing the essence of the airborne troops’ experience. We were honored to have contributed our services to the creation of this significant memorial.
