The Refinery is a commercial build with the re-use of the existing concrete structural frame. The building incorporated ancillary uses including cafe / restaurant, co-working incubator space, and events space, a new green roof, comprehensive public realm improvements and associated works. The site is adjacent to the River Thames and Thames Path to the west.

The extent of retained structural elements includes the foundations, concrete frame (excluding the roof) and the basement slab and walls.
