Baynham Meikle provided the civil and structural engineering for the new 12-classroom modular teaching block at Wolverley CE Secondary School, replacing temporary accommodation with a permanent facility. Working alongside Kier’s off-site delivery team, we developed the foundation strategy tailored to modular units, designed below-ground drainage and levels to integrate with the live campus, and coordinated external works and utilities. Our engineers resolved the structural interfaces for rapid crane installation, and supported construction to keep the school operational with minimal disruption. The result is a durable, compliant and future-ready teaching block delivered on an accelerated programme—giving Wolverley modern learning spaces and removing the reliance on temporary buildings.
