Arla, one of the UK’s leading dairy companies, selected Hatfield as its preferred location for a regional distribution centre which will be operated in partnership with PCL. Arla is responsible for many household names such as Anchor Butter, Lurpak and Cravendale. Hatfield will be its new base for distribution of its products to the south-east of England.

The proposed development provides 231,000 sqft floor area in a temperature controlled warehouse. The structure is 15m high to eaves with offices fronting onto Mosquito Way. In total seventy height adjustable dock levelers were installed down the side elevations of the building. The main frame encompassed a steel portal frame supported by pad foundations. The floor comprised a cement stabilized ground floor slab.
